Marriott Bahrain
Celebrates the Associate
Appreciation Week 2012
This week provides the
opportunity to thank associates for everything they do every day to embody our
enduring core values. Their hard work, commitment and dedication to our
business and its people keep our operations running smoothly, our guests coming
back, and the communities we serve a better place.
In Bahrain , the 6-days
event was filled with various fun activities such as games, competitions, raffles,
entertainment and a party on the last day of the week. More than 200 associates
from different departments participated in this great annual event.
Also during this week
the Marriott Executive Apartments Manama, Bahrain hosted a "Blood Donation
Campaign". The event is part of its
corporate core values "Spirit to Serve Our Communities". This is an
integral part of the Associate Appreciation Week, giving associates the
opportunity to serve their local community.
Working together with
Bahrain Blood Bank (BBB), the blood donation campaign started from 9am to 12pm.
More than 30 associates, guests and residents of the MEA Bahrain volunteered in
the program.
General Manager Sam Van
Campenhout said that the event is dedicated for the company's most valuable
asset; our associates. "This week, our entire company was very grateful to
celebrate our associate's hard work and dedication to serve our guests and
communities".
Human Resources Manager
Loay Mamdouh said "Appreciation week is one of the opportunities where we
show our associates the Marriott philosophy of saying, if we take care of the
associates, associates will take care of the guests, and the guests will come
back."
"I believe that
associates satisfaction is the most important tool to retain our workforce, and
we should always focus on this, especially in the present tough competing
environment," added Loay.
