Indonesia studies high-speed rail plan

Indonesia is studying the possibility of introducing an environmentally friendly, high speed train as early as 2012, the Jakarta Post has reported. A proposed US$3 billion project would connect Jakarta to cities across Java, according to the Malaysian firm Caedz, LLC, a member of the consortium planning the project. A 90-day feasibility study is current underway.
